Personal injury action involving a man who was hit by a motorcycle while attempting to cross the street. After striking the man, the defendant continued to speed away with the man still holding on to the front of the bike until he was eventually thrown to the ground.

The intersection was poorly lit and the pedestrian walk-signal had switched to “Don’t Walk” before the three plaintiffs reached the other side of the road.

Superbug CRE Cases Against Olympus America

Personal injury and wrongful death claims that resulted from exposure to antibiotic resistant CRE.  Patients were exposed to CRE after undergoing endoscopic procedures using duodenoscopes manufactured by Olympus America.  The design of the duodenoscopes made cleaning protocols inadequate, resulting in the spread of the infection among patients.
