PSB Attorneys Among 2020 CAOC Virtual Convention Speakers & Awards Finalists

Panish Shea & Boyle LLP partners Brian Panish and Rahul Ravipudi, as well as Deborah Chang who is Of Counsel with the firm, are among the featured speakers at the 2020 CAOC Annual Convention where two of the firm’s landmark cases – Rosen v. The Regents of the Univeristy of California, et al as well as Sanchez v. Victor Elementary School District — have been named finalists for the Consumer Attorneys of California’s top annual award, Consumer Attorney of the Year.


From 1:15 p.m. – 2:45 p.m., Deborah Chang will serve as a panelist  discussing Creative Case Crafting – Finding And Telling The Story Of Your Case. She will be joined by fellow panelists Randi McGinn, Lisa Blue, Charla Aldous, Bibianne U. Fell, and Zoe Littlepage of Athea Trial Lawyers LLP, as well as Erica M. Chavez of Banafsheh, Danesh, & Javid PC and Alex Deaconson of DK Global, Inc.


From 12:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m., Brian Panish will serve as a panelist on Foil the Defense Plans to Spoil Your Case where he will discuss “Owning Their Favorite Facts: Rip the Defendants’ Hearts Out in Opening and Closing.” Additional panelists include Keith Mitnik, Trial Guides; Charla Aldous, Athea Trial Lawyers LLP; and Gretchen M. Nelson, Nelson & Fraenkel LLP.


From 1:15 p.m. – 2:45 p.m., Rahul Ravipudi will present “Persuading Jurors to Make the World a Safer Place” during the panel discussion Using Your Trial Skills Tool Chest: Trial Strategies That Made The Difference In Important Cases.  Additional panelists include Mary E. Alexander, Mary Alexander & Associates, Mark P. Robinson Jr., Robinson Calcagnie, Inc., Bruce A. Broillet, Greene Broillet & Wheeler, LLP, and Thomas V. Girardi, Girardi | Keese.

The CAOC Installation & Awards Ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m., with an introduction from Brian Panish and Deborah Chang, who will be inducted as President of the Consumer Attorneys of California. The work of the finalists for the Consumer Attorneys of the Year and Street Fighter of the Year awards will also be highlighted and recognized before a winner is announced at the event.
