PSBR attorneys Rahul Ravipudi, Paul Traina, Alex Behar and Ian Samson obtained a $4,250,000 settlement for a client who suffered catastrophic injuries when his right leg and pelvis were crushed by a tractor-trailer wheel as he was attempting to assist another driver in extricating his tractor-trailer which had become stuck in a hazardous, unpaved lot owned by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (“LADWP”). Although the LADWP attempted to delegate its duty to maintain the property to its leasee, discovery in the case revealed that the LADWP knew that the lot was unsafe for heavy vehicle traffic since at least February 1, 2017, when a similar tractor-trailer become stuck in the lot.
