PSB Attorneys Among 2019 CAOC Convention Featured Speakers & Award Finalists

Panish Shea & Boyle LLP attorneys Adam Shea, Rahul Ravipudi and Spencer Lucas are among the featured speakers at the 2019 CAOC Annual Convention this weekend in San Francisco where the firm’s landmark case, Pierce v. Murietta Valley Unified School District, and attorneys Rahul Ravipudi and Robert Glassman, are among the 2019 finalists for the Consumer Attorneys of California’s top annual award, Consumer Attorney of the Year.

FRIDAY SESSION — NOVEMBER 15

From 9-10:00 a.m., Spencer Lucas will present “Extracting a Confession” during DEPOSITIONS: BOXING IN A WITNESS, EXTRACTING A CONFESSION, SETTING UP FOR TRIAL. Additional topics and speakers include “Boxing in a Witness” presented by Julie L. Fieber of Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, LLP and “Setting Up Depo Testimony for Trial” presented by Jason R. Sanchez of Rizio Lipinsky Law Firm. Daniel Kramer of Kramer Holcomb Sheik will serve as moderator.

SATURDAY – NOVEMBER 16

From 1:15 – 2:30 p.m. Rahul Ravipudi will present “Preparing a Wildfire Case for Trial” at the WILDFIRES seminar. Moderated by John Fiske or Baron & Budd, P.C., additional presenters include Mary E. Alexander of Mary Alexander & Associates with her presentation “Effectively Proving Injuries and Damages of Wildfire” and Frank M. Pitre of Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, LLP presenting “Corporate Culture and Government Oversight of Investor Owned Utilities In California”

From 4:15 – 5:15pm, Adam Shea will speak on “Presenting the Invisible TBI Case” during the TBI TRACK IV: PUTTING THE TBI PUZZLE TOGETHER seminar. Additional topics include “Using Lay Witnesses To Prove Brain Injury” presented by Christopher B. Dolan of Dolan Law Firm, PC and “Litigation On A Budget: Keeping Costs Down” presented by Geoffrey S. Wells of Greene Broillet & Wheeler, LLP. Paloma Carrero of Arias Sanguinetti Wang & Torrijos LLP will serve as moderator.

Following the seminars on Saturday, the Consumer Attorneys of California Installation & Award Dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m. and highlights the work of the finalists for the Consumer Attorneys of the Year and Street Fighter of the Year awards. Winners in each category will be announced at the event.
