Brian Panish Honored By Irish American Bar Association with Daniel O’Connell Award

Attorney Brian Panish has been honored by the Irish American Bar Association Los Angeles for his passion and commitment to the legal profession.                                                                                      Nearly 150 guests attended the 36th annual Daniel O’Connell Award Dinner at the Jonathan Club on November 1st where IABALA president Shannon DeBiase presented Mr. Panish with the award in the presence of colleagues, family, friends and Consul General of Ireland to the Western United States, Robert O’ Driscoll.

Named in honor of Daniel O’Connell, an Irish Catholic lawyer who became the first great 19th-century Irish nationalist leader, the award recognizes an individual who is a diligent advocate and a promoter of justice. A video montage of Mr. Panish and his achievements was shared with attendees prior to his acceptance of the award.

 

During his acceptance speech, Mr. Panish shared details about his journey as well as details about his Irish heritage. His grandmother Maryellen Kiernan Murphy was a native of Co. Longford and his grandfather, Bernard Ambrose Murphy, hailed from Co. Westmeath.

Mr. Panish is a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and the Irish American Bar Association.
