Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP is proud to welcome trial and social justice attorney Jesse Creed and incoming Fellows Whitney Smith, Nadine Khedry, James Trotter and Nathan Werksman to the firm.

JESSE CREED  Jesse joined PSBR in May 2018 and is working with our Porter Ranch team in litigation against SoCalGas as well as leading the charge with Rahul Ravipudi in a class action lawsuit against college test administrator ACT for the illegal disclosure and sale of student disability status to colleges. Prior to joining the firm, the Princeton University and Columbia Law School graduate was the Executive Director of Vets Advocacy, a non-profit organization facilitating the revitalization of the West Los Angeles U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs campus which resulted as a condition of the Valenti v. Shinseki class action litigation settlement. Jesse was a key attorney for the class of homeless and disabled veterans in the Valentini litigation. Following law school, Jesse served as a law clerk to Judge William Fletcher of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and to Judge Diana Motz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and worked as an associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson, LLP. When he’s not serving as a community activist, Jesse likes to hang out with his wife Mia and their one-year-old son Charlie as well as play tennis, watch horror movies and find the best restaurants in new cities.

NADINE KHEDRY  Nadine joined PSBR as a Fellow in August 2018 after working at the firm as a summer clerk following her second year at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. A graduate of UC Merced, Nadine was selected to be part of Loyola Law School’s Byrne Trial Advocacy Team and also participated in the Hobbs Trial Advocacy Program where she was able to gain real in court experience by conducting preliminary hearings at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. She served as the President of Loyola’s Consumer Law Society, a club that works closely with the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA. In her free time Nadine enjoys cooking, exploring new places in Los Angeles, reading motivational or trial skill books, and finding new legal shows like Goliath.

WHITNEY SMITH  Whitney first joined PSBR in 2012 as a summer clerk before returning to Central Michigan University for her senior year. She returned to the firm as a paralegal following graduation and was part of the teams that achieved some of the firm’s landmark verdicts and settlements including Diao v. Southern Cal. Gas Co., Jun v. Chaffey Joint Union High School District and Lee v. Pupil Transportation Cooperative.  Whitney attended Southwestern Law School while continuing to work full-time at the firm. She was a proud recipient of the Wildman/Schumacher Scholarship throughout her time at Southwestern. When away from the office, you can find her at the driving range, watching football (Go Raiders!) and spending time with her family.

JAMES TROTTER  James joined PSBR as a Fellow in August 2018. Prior to law school, he attended the University of Notre Dame and worked for three years as a software consultant at Epic Systems in Madison, Wisconsin. He attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he was an editor on the International and Comparative Law Review. In his spare time, James enjoys crosswords, going to the beach, baseball, and history.

NATHAN WERKSMAN Nathan joined PSBR as a Fellow in August 2018 following his graduation from Stanford Law School where he was the co-founder and president of the school’s Plaintiffs’ Lawyers Association.  Since joining the firm, he has been working on the Las Vegas Shooting cases, among others, and has enjoyed the significant hands-on experience he has already received.  Nathan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and spends his free time walking and biking around the southland with his wife and watching great television.
