Agent App Seeks To Reduce Distracted Driving

Posted on February 13, 2014

Another anti-distracted driving app has been launched, and a new report takes a look at how it aims to reduce the dangerous action among operators of motor vehicles.  This particular app is called Agent, and in addition to simply providing a means to squelch distraction at the wheel, it also includes functions that purportedly allow for tracking a given vehicle’s position once parked and lengthening the phone’s battery.  The anti-distraction function works by way of translating texts into voice-based communications.  A driver can set up auto-responses that then go out to the sender after the system orates the contents of the text.
