Tackling The Vehicle Hacking Threat

Las Vegas’s Consumer Electronics Show is an exciting event for people interested in the future of automobile technology, as there are numerous systems shown off by companies looking to get their devices implemented in a widespread fashion.  However, with the proliferation of such systems also come concerns about automobiles becoming susceptible to hackers.  Many of the technologies of the future work by way of interconnectivity and wireless internet, leaving a potential opening for someone with less than admirable intentions to take control of critical aspects of an automobile.  Harman was on hand at the show to tout software that they say can help protect drivers,  and their efforts are explored in a new report.  No matter the eventual solution, this is a topic that will certainly need to be tackled in the future.
