Fall Risk Leads San Francisco-Based Pottery Barn to Recall Chandeliers

Posted on January 24, 2014

The San Francisco-based Pottery Barn has announced the recall of Morovian Star Pendant Chandeliers that have 26 points each.  The recall pertains to both regular versions and versions with a non-compact fluorescent bulb.  1,100 of these stars could suffer from an issue wherein the weight proves to be too much for the joints to handle, causing the entire thing to come down and potentially strike persons beneath.  Three detachment incidents have been reported, and although those did not lead to injuries, owners are being asked to take down these chandeliers at once.  The items will be refunded when users bring them back.  These products were only sold between this past September and December via Pottery Barn.
