Eye Drops Recalled By Mentholatum Over Sterility Concerns

Posted on January 20, 2014

Various types of eye drops that were imported from Vietnam are being recalled by the Orchard Park, New York-based Mentholatum Company because of concerns about a potential lack of sterility.  The recall affects Ice, Cool, Hydra, Arctic, and Relief eye drops under the Rohto brand.  To determine if the items arrived from Vietnam, consumers are being asked to look for the letter V within the Lot Number emblazoned on the bottle or on the carton that the bottle came in.  The words “Made in Vietnam” may also be found.  There have yet to be reported illnesses associated with these products.  Available across the country as an over-the-counter product, these items, if found to be in your possession, should prompt you to make contact with the company.
