Cashew Cheese Recalled By West Sacramento Company Over Salmonella Risk

Posted on January 2, 2014

The threat of a Salmonella contamination has prompted the recall of various flavors of cashew cheese items from the West Sacramento, California-based Cultured Kitchen.  The recall affects non-dairy products in six different flavors, all of which would have come in an eight ounce round container carrying an expiration date of April 19, 2014 or sooner.  The items, which were only sold in Nevada and the northern portion of California, were found to be composed of materials that could have been contaminated with Salmonella.  Owners are therefore being asked to get in touch with wherever they bought the cheese from to get a refund, and the products absolutely should not be consumed.
