C’Real Spirulina Recalled By Irwindale Company Over Allergen Risk

Posted on January 30, 2014

An instant cereal called C’Real Spirulina is being recalled by the Irwindale, California-based Gano Excel USA due to a potential undeclared allergen hazard posed.  There is a chance that the products could contain soy or wheat without the labels outlining the presence of these ingredients.  Thus, anyone who is allergic to those substances could sustain a serious reaction that could even prove to be life-threatening under the right circumstances.  The company is reportedly working with the California Department of Health to reduce any risks to consumers posed by the products, which came in packages of 15.  Owners who are allergic to the aforementioned allergens are being advised not to eat the cereal.
