Livingston Hopes To Make Return To School As Safe As Possible

Posted on December 27, 2013

Although we’re only a couple days removed from Christmas, it will seem like no time at all has elapsed once children start heading back to school in a short time.  The city of Livingston wants to make sure that all those kids headed back into class are able to do so in the safest manner possible.  The California Office of Traffic Safety’s Safe Routes to School program will be carried out within that community starting on January 6 and lasting for the ensuing week.  As part of the operation, additional officers will be stationed along those areas near schools where children are likely to congregate.  Those police officials will be cracking down on any drivers whose actions could contribute to an accident, including the inappropriate usage of cellphones while driving.
