Dangerous California Drivers Face CHP Scrutiny This Christmas

Posted on December 23, 2013

Drivers should be aware of an upcoming enforcement effort being put on by the California Highway Patrol.  Starting at 6 pm tomorrow night, CHP officers around the state will be taking part in a Maximum Enforcement Period that will see an increase in patrol traffic and a zero-tolerance policy enacted toward those persons whose actions could contribute to hazardous driving circumstances.  This should serve as even more of an incentive to put phones down while at the wheel and to refrain from all alcohol consumption if you’re going to be driving.  What’s more, those who believe they are sharing the road with someone who is inebriated are asked to dial 911 to alert the authorities of that person’s state.
