3,558 Sooner and Exiss Travel Trailers Recalled Over Injury Threat

Posted on December 5, 2013

Sooner and Exiss travel trailers of the 2006 through 2013 model years are being recalled by Exiss/Sooner, HLG because of a possible entrapment risk prompted by a faulty door lock on the vehicles.  3,558 trailers could be privy to a familiar issue wherein the key is taken from the lock in a manner that prompts the deadbolt to be jammed. When this happen, persons inside would be unable to get themselves out of the vehicle, and an injury could therefore result.  The recall is supposed to start by the end of the year, when owners start to receive an alert from the vehicle firm about the safety issue.  The cylinders will be inspected and replaced by a Fastec representative at no cost to owners.
