New York Governor Approves DriveSafe To Reduce Distraction Among Teens

Posted on

The Governor of New York has given his approval to a plan that seeks to reduce instances of distracted driving among teenagers in the state.  The plan, which hails from Esurance, would see a device called DriveSafe being handed out at no cost to those persons who use the company for their insurance needs.  By plugging this device into the vehicle, parents can gain access to all sorts of information related to their son’s or daughter’s driving habits.  The device will alert the parents when speeding and other dangerous activities take place, as well as when the teen removes the device.  Parents can also choose to block phone calls and text messages.
