1,315 Enclosed Cargo Trailers Recalled Due To Injury Threat

Posted on December 16, 2013

A door lock issue has reared its head once again, this time leading to a recall of 1,315 enclosed cargo trailers of the 2006 through 2013 model years.  The recall was issued by the Carry-On Trailer Corporation in regard to those trailers that could have Fastec door locks that are in danger of being jammed when a user takes the key out of said lock in a certain manner.  If someone happens to still be inside when that happens, there’s a chance that they would remain stuck if the interior portion of the lock also breaks.  He or she could be injured while they remain in the vehicles.  The recall should start before the year is out, and owners who hear from Carry-On will be able to get inspections and replacements from Fastec at no cost.
