Diuretic Presence Prompts Recall of HYDRAVAX By IQ

Posted on December 2, 2013

A dietary supplement called HYDRAVAX is being recalled by the Sunrise, Florida-based IQ Formulations because of the possible inclusion of of a diuretic, the presence of which would bring these products under the banner of a prescription drug.  These items have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for such a purpose, and thus persons who consume the drug could be in danger.  Persons unknowingly exposed to a diuretic could experience things like vomiting, nausea, dehydration, and other issues associated with electrolyte imbalance.  The recall affects one lot that was set to expire in July 2016.  Owners of the 45-capsule products should cease usage and bring the items back to the store to get their money back.
