Soft Caramel Jams In San Francisco Recalled By La Boulange

Posted on November 18, 2013

A series of jams available throughout the San Francisco Bay Area are being recalled by the California-based La Boulange Cafe & Bakery.  The recall affects 75 Soft Caramel Jams that were only available at one of the company’s retail stores in the vicinity of San Francisco.  These 8.4 ounce items do not actually contain soft caramel; instead, they contain Hazelnut Jam, meaning that persons who are allergic to that substance are at risk of suffering a potentially dangerous reaction.  There have yet to be incidents of this nature reported at this time.  For those concerned about their safety, refunds can be obtained from La Boulange.  The items were from Lot 822713 and were available between August 15 and November 11 of this year.
