The Augusta, Georgia-based Club Car LLC has announced the recall of Precedent transport and golf vehicles under the 2013 model year because of the potential crash risk posed. 1,450 vehicles with five different model numbers (CF, PD, PH, PJ, and PR) are affected by the recall, and each would have been available across the country this past June. No injurious incidents have been reported yet in association with a potential defect wherein cracking of the front wheel spindles could occur. This issue could impede steering due to the impact it would have on the wheel, and thus persons onboard could crash. Inspections and repairs will be provided at no cost to owners, who should hear from Club Car about the issue soon.
