4,212 Trailers Recalled By Vintage For Door Lock Issue

Posted on November 15, 2013

Six different trailers are being recalled by Vintage Trailers because of a problem associated with the door locks from Fastec on these vehicles.  The recall affects a total of 4,212 Cargo, Crystal, Aero, Bandit, Outlaw, and Intimidator trailers of the 2007 through 2013 model years.  Because the deadbolts can be jammed due to the way that a user removes the keys from the locks on these trailers, persons inside could get stuck there.  An increased injury hazard would then be posed to those individuals, who would need to activate the emergency exit to get out of the vehicles.  Once the recall starts by year’s end, the company will issue alerts to owners.  Free inspections and replacements of the affected components will be carried out by Fastec.
