Undeclared Almonds Lead to Recall of 3 Fellers Chocolate Cream Pie

Posted on November 14, 2013

Chocolate Cream Pies under the 3 Fellers brand are being recalled by that same Richmond, Virginia-based company due to a potential undeclared allergen hazard posed.  These items were available throughout Southern California and a handful of other states and will each have a Best By date leading up to May 7, 2014.  The concern is that the products may contain almonds without the label dictating the presence of that ingredient.  Thus, persons who are allergic to the substance may be in danger of sustaining a potentially serious reaction.  Persons worried about such an occurrence are being advised to toss out the products.  No one has reported experiencing such a dangerous situation at this point in time.
