Listeria Risk Leads to Expanded Recall of Garden-Fresh Foods Products

Posted on November 8, 2013

An expansion has been issued to a recall of ready-to-eat products from Garden-Fresh Foods that could be affected by a potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.  The recall now affects all those slaws, vegetables, salads, dips, and spreads that have a manufacturing code date leading up to November 6.  The expansion affects such brands as Dairy Fresh, Finest Traditions, Grandpa’s, Garden-Fresh, Weis, and more.  No one has reported suffering a sickness yet in relation to this Listeria monocytogenes contamination.  Persons who own these products, including those who may have frozen them so that they can be later consumed, are being advised to bring them back to wherever they were bought from.
