Audi S7 and S6 Vehicles Recalled Due to Possible Fuel Leak

Posted on October 28, 2013

The threat of a fuel leak has led to the recall of Audi S7 and S6 automobiles of the 2013 and 2014 model years.  The recall was announced by Volkswagen Group of America and pertains to an estimated 3,594 vehicles that have a 4.0L engine.  The fuel leak hazard was apparently created by tolerance issues in the manufacturing process.  In addition to the vehicles simply losing fuel at a rapid pace, the leak would pose a distinct fire risk if some type of open flame is present in the vicinity of the emanating fuel.  By month’s end, the recall should begin, at which point owners can expect to start hearing from Volkswagen about the issue.  A fuel line replacement will then be carried out by dealers at no cost to those who bring their automobiles in.
