Polaroid Tablet Chargers Recalled Over Possible Overheating Risk

Posted on October 30, 2013

The Brooklyn, New York-based Southern Telecom has announced the recall of A/C chargers that come as an accessory to Polaroid PMID709 internet tablets.  Around 21,000 chargers are impacted by the recall, which was issued upon discovery that overheating is a possibility with these products.  This creates a distinct fire risk.  Although there have been ten overheating incidents reported, none of those situations led to property damage or an injury.  The chargers, which were only available from Big Lots this past July, should not be used to charge the attendant tablet.  By getting in touch with the company, owners will be able to receive an envelope they can use to return the adaptor and get a new product in its stead.
