KCB Pista Khatie Sold In California Recalled Over Allergen Risk

Posted on October 25, 2013

30 ounce versions of KCB Pista Khatie available in California are being recalled by the Linden, New Jersey-based Kashmir Crown Baking because of a potential undeclared allergen hazard posed (an additional 13 ounce version of the product sold in Ontario is also being recalled).  An analysis by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency uncovered eggs in the products, and because the label fails to note the appearance of this ingredient, persons allergic to that substance could suffer a serious reaction.  No such incidents have come to the fore at this time, and to ensure that continues, owners are being asked to bring the items back to get their money back.  Affected products will have an expiration date of May 16, 2014.
