Toy Sets Recalled By San Mateo Company Due to Choking Threat

Posted on October 23, 2013

The San Mateo, California-based Infinitoy has announced the recall of two types of toy sets that could create a choking hazard among young children.  The recall affects the Deluxe Circus Train Set and the Super Safari Set from Softimals, adding up to a total of 7,134 toy products.  These items come with Mighty Mike and Safari Sam figures wearing plastic hats, and it’s these plastic hats that could come off and pose a choking risk to children.  One such incident has been reported, but the item was thankfully removed before the child was injured.  Owners are being asked to take the plastic hats away from children; a replacement can be obtained from the company.  The products were sold across the country between September of last year and this year.
