Distracted Driving One Of The Most Dangerous Habits For Teens
Prompted by a letter from a reader, a new report in the Lompoc Record finds a columnist laying out what he views as the three most dangerous habits on the road, especially for teenagers. First, not surprisingly, is the danger created when a person removes their eyes from the road. Whether due to using a mobile phone or any other kind of distraction, placing one’s attention anywhere other than the road in front of the vehicle is a severe hazard, and numerous laws geared toward distracted driving have been enacted in order to combat the threat. The author then lists tailgating followed by speeding as the two next most dangerous habits that parents and their teens should be aware of.
