Undeclared Shellfish Leads to Recall of P.F. Chang’s Frozen Appetizer

Posted on September 25, 2013

An undeclared allergen risk has prompted the recall of frozen Pork and Leek Dumpling appetizers under the P.F. Chang’s Home Menu brand.  The recall was initiated by the Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey-based Unilever once it was discovered following a complaint from a customer that the products could have fish and shrimp without the label stating as much.  Affected items were distributed throughout the country, and each will have a Use By date of either May 8 or May 9 of 2014.  Persons allergic to fish or shellfish who come into contact with the products could risk facing a severe reaction.  No such incidents have been reported as of yet.  Concerned parties should refrain from consumption.
