RVs Recalled By DRV Due To Possible Crash Threat

Posted on September 3, 2013

Tradition, Elite Suite, Mobile Suite and Mobile Suite Select recreational vehicles are being recalled by DRV because of an issue that could compromise road safety.  129 vehicles of the 2014 model year are affected by the recall, which was issued once it was discovered that shearing of the motor assembly screws is a possibility.  The problem, which has its genesis with a power awning motor assembly design alteration, can lead the awning to roll out while in the middle of transit.  This could lead to a crash.  Even if the vehicle is parked, the awning could still strike an individual and cause an injury.  The recall will start this month, so owners should start hearing from DRV soon.  The motors will be replaced when the vehicles are brought in.
