Laceration Risk Leads to Recall of 14,000 Frigidaire Blenders

Posted on September 19, 2013

Blenders under the Frigidaire Professional brand are being recalled by the Charlotte, North Carolina-based Electrolux Home Care Products.  14,000 blenders in total, each with a model number of FPJB56B7MS, are affected by the recall, and those products were available around the country and online between March 2012 and this past July.  When the blender is being used, there’s a chance that a breakage of the blade shaft assembly can occur, causing the user to experience a laceration.  Eight incidents without injury have been reported at this time, and owners are being asked not to use the blenders so that further hazardous situations can be prevented.  A new blender can be obtained from Frigidaire.
