3,889 TZ-34 Aerial Work Platform Trailers Recalled By Genie

Posted on September 30, 2013

TZ-34 aerial work platform trailers of the 2003 through 2012 model years are being recalled by Genie Industries.  3,889 trailers are potentially impacted by the recall, which was issued once it was discovered that the outrigger assemblies of the vehicles, when placed in the upright stowed position, may not be able to stay in that position while the trailer is being moved.  If these outriggers are not stowed during the commute, they can come into contact with various objects along the road, and thus a crash hazard could be created.  The recall won’t start until November, but once it does, owners can expect to hear from Genie.  An outrigger control manifold will be affixed to the trailers by dealers.
