Five types of angel food cake are being recalled by Safeway because of an undeclared allergen hazard associated with the items. The recall affects Angel Food Cake, Angel Food Cake Fruit Topped, Cake Angle Food Loaf, Holiday Decorated Angel Food Cake, and four counts of Angel Food Cups. Each product would have been sold around the country from Safeway and other grocers and will have a Sell By date ranging from September 1 to October 2. The items have milk and soy without the label stating as much, and therefore persons allergic to those ingredients could suffer a serious reaction. No instances of such have been reported, and concerned parties should bring the Angel Food Cake back for a refund.
