12,650 Journey Girl Travel Trunks Recalled Because of Laceration Risk

Posted on September 27, 2013

The Wayne, New Jersey-based Toys R Us has announced the recall of Journey Girl Travel Trunks because of a possible laceration risk.  12,650 of these items have a metal handle that could be sharp enough to cut the individual carrying the trunk, and thus the recall was issued.  These products, which act as a toy doll carrier, have already led to six complaints, one of which reportedly involved the user having to get stitches.  Persons in possession of the trunk are encouraged to take the product away from children and to bring it back to Toys R Us, where a refund will be given.  The products were sold from such stores between October of last year and this past February.
