1,500 Bed Frames Recalled By Land of Nod Over Child Entrapment Risk

Posted on September 25, 2013

The Morton Grove, Illinois-based Land of Nod has announced the recall of three types of full or twin size bed frames because of a potential safety hazard posed to children.  The spaces between the slats that make up the footboard and the headboard are of a size that would enable a child to get stuck between, and thus an entrapment risk is posed.  1,500 beds of the Petal, Picket, and Iron Sleigh style are affected by the recall, and each would have been available online and across the country from Land of Nod stores between May 2008 and June of last year.  Parents are being asked to not allow kids near the beds; instead, a merchandise credit can be obtained from the company once the item is brought back.
