374,618 Acura MDX and Odyssey Vehicles Recalled Over Airbag Issue
Acura MDX and Odyssey automobiles of the 2003 and 2004 model years are being recalled by Honda because of a potential safety issue that could lead to the sudden deployment of the airbags. The air bag control modules in the affected vehicles have a component that could be susceptible to a failure related to electrical noise. When this takes place, the side curtain and front airbags could go off. Should this happen while the vehicle is in transit, persons inside could be injured, and the ensuing distraction could lead to a crash. 374,618 automobiles are potentially affected by the recall, and the owners of those vehicles can expect to hear from Honda around the end of October. By then bringing the vehicles into a dealer, owners will be able to receive a free installation of a noise suppressor unit that should hopefully fix the issue.
