Crash Risk Leads to Recall of Moose Racing Motorcycle Training Wheels

Posted on September 11, 2013

The Cambridge, Minnesota-based Cambridge Metals & Plastics has announced the recall of training wheels under the Moose Racing brand due to a potential crash risk posed.  4,000 or so sets of wheels in total are being recalled, and each is to be used with youth motorcycles.  The components designed to keep the wheels attached to the motorcycle frame are in danger of coming loose.  Should this occur, the young rider could possibly be unable to steer the vehicle properly, crashing in the process.  No such incidents have come to the fore at this point in conjunction with the wheels, which were sold across the country and online between July of last year and this past June.  The wheels should be removed and the company should be contacted for repairs.
