Sterility Concerns Lead to Recall of Numerous Items By Beacon Hill

Posted on August 1, 2013

Sterility concerns have led to the recall of all products shipped across the country by the Southfield, Michigan-based Beacon Hill.  The various items, which were sold under the Rxtra Solutions banner, come in vials ranging from 1 to 100 milliliters.  They are typically given to patients going through hormone replacement therapy and those receiving some type of intravenous medical intervention.  Any sterile product from the company uncovered by a healthcare overseer should be quarantined at once and arrangements should be made to return the products to the company.  If a patient were to be exposed to a product that did not have its sterility assured, they may be subjected to an infection that could turn deadly.
