The threat of an undeclared allergen has prompted the recall of Dark Chocolate-Covered fruit collection boxes by the Mount Arlington, New Jersey-based Dove Chocolate Discoveries. While not available from retailers, the potentially at-risk items were given to persons across the United States in a home party setting. A consumer report related the fact that an almond product was contained inside, and while the interior packaging would be correct in these recalled products, persons allergic to nuts are still being asked to take the proper precautions. Owners of those boxes with an item number of 3265D and a lot number of 317DAIDS01 are being asked to return the boxes. No allergic reactions have come to the fore at this time.
