Texting Drivers The Target of Pasadena Enforcement Operation

Posted on August 19, 2013

Today found police officers in the city of Pasadena cracking down on those drivers who insisted upon texting at the wheel.  Persons spotted typing out a text while driving could be hit with a $162 citation.  Officers are concerned about the prevalence of distracted driving in the city and California as a whole, where as many as 500 people may have been killed due to distraction last year.  The last such distracted driving-related fatality in Pasadena reportedly occurred a couple months ago, and officers want to get across the idea that distraction won’t be tolerated.  A billboard campaign focused on the same topic is also ongoing.
