20,300 Santa Fe Sport Vehicles Recalled By Hyundai Due To Crash Risk

Posted on August 16, 2013

Santa Fe Sport automobiles of the 2013 model year have been recalled by Hyundai due to an issue that could prompt dual crash hazards.  20,300 vehicles in total could be affected by the issue, which would find fracturing taking place in the axle shaft on the right front side.  If this happens while the automobile is parked, it could roll away, and if it occurs while in transit, the wheels would cease to function properly.  Both of these incidents could prompt a crash.  The recall should start at some point this month, and owners will hear from Hyundai when it does.  A free component replacement will be carried out on affected vehicles.
