Heightened Lead Levels Prompt Recall of Sleepharmony Kids’ Beds

Posted on August 6, 2013

The St. Louis, Missouri-based Glideaway Bed Carriage Manufacturing Company has announced the recall of pink Sleepharmony beds for kids.  The recall was issued once it was discovered that the pink paint on these bed frames could suffer from heightened levels of lead, causing them to run afoul of federal regulations.  The 1,850 or so beds affected by the recall should not be used.  Instead, consumers are being instructed to get in touch with Glideaway to figure out how to bring the bed back or get a refund.  The beds were available across the country between February of last year and this past June.
