Trois Comtoir Cheese Recalled By Whole Foods Over Listeria Risk

Posted on August 1, 2013

Trois Comtoir Morbier Cheese sold in California and a handful of other states is being recalled by Whole Foods Market due to concerns that the cheese may suffer from a Listeria Monocytogenes contamination.  Those products available in California will be labeled as Morbier Raw Milk and Morbier Les Trois Comtois.  These 11 pound wheels of cheese that may have been pared down at the Whole Foods store they were sold at have yet to lead to any reported accounts of illness.  Owners of any of the affected cheeses, no matter the Best By date, are being advised to get rid of the items and to bring their receipt to the place of purchase to obtain a refund.
