GSX1300RA Hayabusa Motorcycles Recalled By Suzuki Over ABS Issue

Posted on July 29, 2013

The Suzuki Motor Corporation has announced the recall of GSX1300RA Hayabusa motorcycles of the 2013 model year due to a manufacturing problem that could adversely impact the antilock brakes on the vehicles.  2,561 motorcycles are impacted by the recall, which was issued because of a malfunction and ensuing loss of ability of the ABS.  If this leads the wheels to lock or excessive skidding to take place during a sudden braking situation, the rider onboard would be placed in danger of an injurious crash.  The recall should start next month, at which point owners will be contacted.  By bringing the ABS in to a dealer, owners can obtain a free replacement of the affected components.
