Drone Sign Maker Comes Forward as CHP Investigation Continues

Posted on July 26, 2013

Not long ago, we related information about how signage warning motorists in Northern California about speeding being monitored by drones was taken down by the California Highway Patrol.  The signs were illegal and some even thought they could create a distraction for drivers.  Now, the person behind those signs has come forward.  The Napa conceptual artist responsible for the signs was hoping to provoke a discussion about the use of drones, and by all accounts he certainly got people talking.  At the moment, the CHP has said that they are still investigating the matter.  They have not contacted the artist and the signs remain at a station.  The artist has said that he does not intend to put up more signs.
