Serrano, Valencia, A.C.E., Magellan, Windsport, and Hurricane motorhomes of model years ranging between 2006 and 2013 are being recalled by Thor Motor Coach because of a potential issue with the RV Custom Products Battery Control Center onboard. 8,571 motorhomes could be susceptible to a failure of that particular component when in transit. Because this can completely cut power to the chassis of the vehicle, continued operation becomes a chore, especially since the lights can be similarly shut down. To correct this potential crash threat, Thor will be getting in touch with vehicle owners and offering a free rewiring service. Unfortunately, there is yet to be word on when the recall will start.
