Fall Risk Prompts Recall of 2,200 Johnny G. Krankcycles By Matrix

Posted on July 26, 2013

The Cottage Grove, Wisconsin-based Johnson Health Tech North America has announced the recall of Johnny G. Krankcycle by Matrix workout equipment.  2,200 or so of the products are being recalled, and they were made available to regular consumers, gyms, rehab facilities, and similar venues between January 2008 and January 2012.  The seat on the equipment can reportedly fall off of the frame, taking the user with it in the process.  One instance of broken ribs and another instance that led to an injury requiring back surgery have already been reported, and owners are being asked that the devices not be used.  Instead, Johnson Health Tech should be contacted so that free repairs can be set up.
