Sibutramine Presence Prompts Herbal Give Care to Recall Supplements

Posted on July 23, 2013

Two products, one designed to control nervous appetite and one meant to help burn fat, are being recalled by the Grand Prairie, Texas-based Herbal Give Care due to the presence of an undeclared drug that could harm users.  Esbelin siloutte and Esbeli siloutte te Herbal Blend with L-Carnitine are each being recalled because of the inclusion of sibutramine among the ingredients.  When a consumer is exposed to this substance, they could face heightened blood pressure, a condition made more serious among those persons who suffer from heart disease or a history of strokes.  No instances of adversity have been reported in association with the products at this time.  The vitamin supplements, which came in a 30 capsule bottle available to retailers across the country and online, should not be used and ought to instead be returned.
