2,250 RVs Recalled By Monaco Due to Crash Hazard

Posted on July 11, 2013

Numerous types of Holiday Rambler and R-Vision RVs of the 2011 through 2014 model years as well as McKenzie Rainier Ascent RVs of the 2013 and 2014 model years are being recalled by Monaco RV.  2,250 of these vehicles could have a water tank mounting system in the trailers’ underside that’s in danger of experiencing a failure.  As a result, the water tank itself can become dislodged from the trailer and crash onto the road below, potentially compromising the safety of vehicles in the vicinity if they hit it or otherwise have to swerve to avoid it.  At some point this month, the recall will begin and owners should start hearing from Monaco.  Dealers will be offering free repairs with the goal of ensuring the water tank can be kept in place.
