Fire Risk Prompts Recall of Coleman, Dutchmen, and Aspen Trailers

Posted on July 17, 2013

Various types of Coleman, Dutchmen, and Aspen travel trailers of the 2013 and 2014 model years are being recalled by Dutchmen Manufacturing because of an issue with the range burner.  543 vehicles in total could be affected by the defect, which would find the hose which supplies propane to the burner melting when heat builds up.  When melting becomes sufficient, propane could potentially emanate from the hose, and the likelihood of a fire would then be much greater at that point.  The recall should start at some time prior to month’s end, so owners should be on the lookout for a notification from Dutchmen.  Trailers brought in to a dealer will receive free repairs.
